Tra la serata del 22 ottobre 2019 e la notte del 23 ottobre 2019 alimentati dal forte vento di scirocco, diversi roghi dolosi hanno alimentato vasti incendi sulle pendici di Monte Furru prima e a Capo Marrargiu poco dopo. Sono intervenuti: Vigili del fuoco, Corpo Forestale, Carabinieri, Protezione Civile, Croce Rossa, Volontari. Solo Alle prime luci dell'alba è stato possibile l'intervento dei mezzi aerei per spegnere alcuni focolai in alcune aree irraggiungibili dalle forze a terra e ancora non è Finito perché sento i Canadair in Attività.
