Milky Way on Lake Dobbiaco sent on October 20, 2019 (13:13) by Irenix. 12 comments, 553 views.

at 16mm, Posa B f/4.0, ISO 3200, tripod.

In my opinion very beautiful, too bad for the plane at the top of the dx and the excessive distortion of the trees. Congratulations

Beautiful, I already shine my eyes to know that in early August I will be on holiday near there, in Sesto, with the moon in waning phase already on the fourth day and 5-6 days available.
Personally, having just taken a fisheye, I really like the distortion of the trees ... very nice blue-purple tone of the sky, but did it really come out like that?

hello, but curiously you go alone? because I think you're the first one who goes to "pretty" isolated places alone, all the more reason being a girl :-o

@Merlino, except that Lake Dobbiaco in summer in August is anything but isolated, even in the evening. It is more dangerous to go out of the office in the evening and walk in the dark avoiding even the sidewalk holes in Rome than taking pictures at night in the mountains.
Honestly, I feel less safe in cities than in the mountains.
By the way, I cursed the lights of the place next to the campsite that impaled my photos and the continuous going of cars.
ComunqueI always go on holiday with my husband (who also makes me from Sherpa :-D)
In our travelling holidays I choose the itinerary and he brings me the double kit and the easel :-D
A proper family balance.

ah ok at least you are always in two because not many women venture out at night to take pictures :-)
at least the ones I've known...

Beautiful! Perhaps you have a less contaminated landscape by walking along the path along the lake, with a vertical click.

@Pol I did not try to walk the path along the lake, although I do not think that the situation of light pollution could change much, however the lake is very close to the population centers.
Thank you so much for the ride.

Beautiful Irene!
I see you've also done some tests with the Milky Way 8-)
Now finding places not contaminated by light sources has become a lot of land :-/

Thank you very much Dario was my first and for the moment only Milky Way :-D
I hope to have other opportunities to see that beautiful starry sky that I haven't seen since I was little (and so we're talking about geological eras ago, at the beginning of the Big Bang :-D)
You young daredevil climber I know you will say, what it takes, take tent, you arms of leg strength and go looking for it ... here I'm lazy :-P
