@Claudio was so close... :-) being on a 4-day trecking path with tent, food, clothing and photographic material (with 2 backpacks each) we had for matter of weight left the zooms in the hotel, seeing the woodpecker near the path we were walking we were all convinced not to be able to photograph it, in the end we will have arrived incredibly less than 1mt.

@Claudio era mooolto vicino... essendo su un percorso di 4 giorni di trecking con tenda, cibo, abbigliamento e materiale fotografico (con ben 2 zaini a testa) avevamo per questione di peso lasciato gli zoom in hotel, vedendo il picchio vicino al sentiero che stavamo percorrendo eravamo tutti convinti di non riuscire a fotografarlo, alla fine saremo arrivati incredibilmente a meno di 1mt.
