Rassa comune di 66 abitanti, censimento 2018, legato in passato alle vicende di Fra Dolcino, l'eretico divulgatore della dottrina Apostolica. Nei primi anni del '300, precisamente nel 1304, Fra Dolcino con i suoi seguaci, circa 4000 tra uomini donne e bambini, si rifugiarono sul Pian dei Gàzzari, sommità della Parete Calva un monte vicino Rassa, per sfuggire ad una vera e proprio crociata istituita dal vescovo di Vercelli. C'è un cartello segnaletico lungo la strada che conduce a Rassa " Gli Irriducibili", come si definivano i seguaci. Oggi il luogo è conosciuto per le gare di Rafting che si svolgono sul fiume Gronda e Sorba che lambiscono il centro abitato.
