The "Killer" of my geraniums sent on September 26, 2019 (21:04) by Renzo Fermo. 131 comments, 3875 views.

Nome scientifico; Cacyreus Marshalli, Famiglia; Licenidi----------Importata, non da molti anni dall'Africa, con le piante del genere Pelargonium, della famiglia delle Geraniaceae..........queste minuscole farfalline depongono le uova su boccioli e foglie dei gerani, nel mio caso i gerani Francesini, le piccolissime larve che escono dalle uova si nutrono dei boccioli, poi crescendo cominciano a scavare gallerie negli steli......un vero disastro.----------non conoscevo la loro pericolosità, ora la conosco e mi sono documentato sul come combatterla il prossimo anno........per i gerani di quest'anno non c'è più niente da fare.------l'ho ripresa su un Tagete perchè mi si è messa meglio in posa......anche se per pochi secondi.
