E' proprio vero, non è facile distinguere il pastore abruzzese in mezzo al gregge. D'altra parte, ho letto che la razza è stata selezionata nell'antichità dai pastori proprio per rendere difficile l'individuazione del guardiano del gregge da parte di predatori e malintenzionati.

Una razza introdotta in Sardegna negli anni 80, prima di allora i cani piu' diffusi erano pronipoti del dogo sardo da cui e' generato anche il pastore fonnese. Il dogo, generalmente grigio, con delle striature biancastre, in quanto a mimetismo non scherzava. Bella la foto. Un saluto.
