Hai fatto una giusta considerazione e ti rispondo in breve.
Quando si fanno le foto in grotta la cosa più importante è l'illuminazione che non basta mai e la componente umana per rendere viva la foto e dare il senso delle proporzioni.
Quindi lo speleo che fa da modello cerca di stare fermo, il più delle volte con una mano nasconde una lampada ,in più usando un grandangolo si evita ancor di più di avere del mosso, a meno che è proprio quello che si vuole ottenere.
Alcuni preferiscono i flash, ma è sempre una questione di preferenze.
Oltretutto di solito si portano le macchine fotografiche del corredo più vecchie ed economiche, per ovvi motivi

Hello David, thanks for the ride.
You've done a proper consideration and I answer in a nutshell.
When you take pictures in the cave the most important thing is the lighting that is never enough and the human component to enliven the photos and give a sense of proportion.
So the cave that serves as a model tries to sit still, most of the time with one hand hides a lamp, plus using a wide-angle prevents even more of having moved, unless that's what you want.
Some prefer the flash, but it is always a matter of preference.
Moreover usually carry cameras kit older, cheaper, for obvious reasons
