Non lo dico io ,che non voglio sminuire certo il valore delle nostre bellissime spiaggie italiche ma l'ho appeno letto sulla rivista turismo della stampa che recita: "Essere in una top ten con Filippine, Hawai, Polinesia, Isole Vergini deve aver dato un brivido di eccitazione alla cittadina di Rhossili. Perché la sua pittoresca baia è stata inserita dal magazine Suitcase tra le 10 spiagge più belle del mondo. Ci troviamo in Galles, un territorio di certo non famoso per il litorale. Eppure il colpo d'occhio sulla Rhossili Bay giustifica in pieno la sua inclusione. Seppur con ovvie differenze paesaggistiche rispetto ai paradisi marini sopra citati, la spiaggia di Rhossili è innegabilmente uno scorcio di mare mozzafiato. La Gran Bretagna non è famosa per le sue spiagge. Ma da qualche tempo sono diversi i magazine di viaggi che stanno dedicandole l'attenzione che merita, perché alcuni dei suoi litorali sono molto più pittoreschi di quanto si immagini. Scenari importanti, con lunghe distese di sabbia fine o enormi rocce che incorniciano baie. Mare azzurrissimo. Onde per fare surf o piscine naturali. La baia di Rhossili è un'ampia spiaggia che alle spalle sfoggia il verde brillante della campagna gallese, con prati e colline che creano uno scenario idilliaco. Situata nella costa meridionale del Galles, precisamente nella penisola di Gower, a pochi chilometri da Swansea, Rhossili è anche nota per un pittoresco promontorio chiamato Worm's Head.
