Schlegeisspeicher Zillertal, Tirol ... agosto 2019 ... E' senza alcun dubbio tra le più spettacolari vie ferrate dell'intera catena alpina, anche se di alpino, a dire il vero, ha ben poco! Inaugurato nel 2016 dal grande Peter Habeler, mitico alpinista locale e compagno di Reinhold Messner in mille avventure, l'itinerario verticale risale i 131 metri della gigantesca muraglia della diga Schlegeisspeicher, posta a 1800 metri di altitudine e non distante dal Pfitscherjoch o passo di Vizze che segna il confine tra Austria ed Italia. Sono ben 1260 i fori realizzati nel calcestruzzo per il fissaggio di staffe ed ancoraggi lungo il percorso che taglia in diagonale la parete per uno sviluppo complessivo di circa 200 metri.
