Rocca Calascio è una delle più suggestive ed incantevoli fortificazioni dell'Italia Centrale. Situato in Abruzzo, all'interno del Gran Sasso e dei Monti della Laga, il paese in provincia dell'Aquila è uno dei più alti borghi dell'Appennino centrale,e in più, ha la peculiarità di ospitare una rocca che domina su tutto il territorio circostante tanto da essere stata inserita dal National Geographic tra i quindici castelli più belli del mondo. E' posta a 1460 metri di altitudine . La Rocca è attualmente abitata da 10 persone.
