Sull'uso della focale meno corta ti do ragione, ho dovuto raddrizzare parecchio le distorsioni geometriche in questo scatto e gli 8mm mi hanno allontanato di molto l'isola di San Giulio rendendola meno presente.
Tuttavia volevo includere la barca ed il paletto per avere una composizione piena e bilanciata e dietro di me non c'era spazio, un muretto e poi subito un ristorante alle mie spalle.
Se hai voglia vai a vedere l'ultima foto che ho caricato su Flickr, fatta pochi metri più a destra e sul muretto un passo più indietro, sempre ad 8mm, arretrare ancora non era possibile.
Capirai che non avevo spazio per usare una focale più lunga e gradevole, ma ci avevo pensato anch'io.

Focus less on the use of short I agree with you, I had to straighten some geometric distortions in this shot and 8mm I have strayed far the island of San Giulio, making it less present.
However, I wanted to include the boat and the stake to have a full and balanced composition and behind me there was no room, a wall and then immediately a restaurant behind me.
If you want to go see the last picture I uploaded on Flickr, made a few meters to the right and on the wall a step back, always 8mm, back still was not possible.
You will understand that I did not have space to use a longer focal length and pleasant, but I never thought of myself.

Ne ho una simile nella mia galleria paesaggi,molto bella,l'ho scattata alla focale di 12 mm.Forse avrei provato a centrare meno l'isola spostandomi un pò più a dx...ma è questione di gusti personali.

66, sembra quasi che abbiamo fatto la foto nello stesso giorno.
Nel comporre questa foto ho cercato la soluzione più pulita ed equilibrata.
A sx, come sai, c'è il pontile e a dx altre barche e il ristorante, volevo inserire bene la barca ed il palo senza altri elementi di disturbo, ho fatto qualche passo in diverse direzioni ma poi ho deciso per questa composizione.
Come dici tu ci sono un sacco di possibilità diverse di comporre ed alla fine è sempre una questione di buon gusto e di gusti personali.

66, it seems that we have made the picture the same day.
In this photo I tried to compose the most clean and balanced.
On the left, as you know, there is a pier and other boats right and the restaurant, I wanted to enter the boat well and the pole without other disturbing elements, I took a few steps in different directions but then I decided for this setup.
As you say there are a lot of different possibilities to compose and the end is always a matter of taste and personal preference.

La foto sembfra la stessa,ma tu con la fusione manuale hai ottenuto un'immagine pulita senza dominanti di colore,veramente bella.

Beppe, il lago era uno specchio d'acqua immobile, mentre mi preparavo passava una piccola barca a motore che ha increspato un po' l'acqua. Ho scattato poco dopo e poi ho aspettato un po' per vedere se l'acqua si appiattiva ma poi mi sono stufato, anche perchè dallo schermo della fotocamera mi sembravano poco importanti quelle onde.
Poi a casa ho visto che si notavano abbastanza ma ormai era fatta, poi magari è meglio così.

Beppe, the lake was a mirror of still water, as I was preparing ran a small motor boat that has ruffled a little 'water. I shot shortly after, and then I waited a bit 'to see if the water flattened but then I got bored, partly because the camera's screen seemed unimportant those waves.
Then at home I saw that you could see enough but it was done, then maybe it's better that way.
