Questo è la vista dalla "Scala Contarini del Bòvolo", facente parte di Palazzo Contarini. Si trova in un angolo nascosto di Venezia, al di fuori degli itinerari turistici, all'interno di una piccola corte, vicino a Campo Manin. La torre è alta 26 metri e ha un diametro di 4,70 metri. La scala è costituita da 80 gradini trapezoidali e si sale in senso antiorario. Costruito tra il Tre e il Quattrocento come dimora dei Contarini “di San Paternian”, che dalla fine del Quattrocento, proprio in riferimento all'edificazione della scala a chiocciola, furono soprannominati “dal Bovolo”(in veneziano significa appunto “chiocciola” ossia la chiocciola di mare). #venezia
