Durante il mio recente viaggio alle Seychelles , sull'isola di La Digue , ho incontrato quest'uomo dallo sguardo buono e sereno, era nel suo piccolo e abbastanza malconcio negozio di souvenir. Pur non avendo praticamente niente da comprargli ho girato li dentro almeno un quarto d'ora perché la scenda mi piaceva e volevo immortalarlo con quella luce particolare che filtrava dalla finestra e tutte le sue cianfrusaglie attorno. Alla fine ho perso coraggio e in realtà è bastato un cenno e con un sorriso mi ha fatto capire che si stava mettendo in posa, si è sistemato il cappello e... click.
