Alla base dello studio -improvvisato- c'è la ricerca di immagini "vecchia maniera", per un senso forse di nostalgia (delle fantastiche ore passate in camera oscura -manca più di tutto la magia dell'immagine che man-mano appare in "immersione") mista a rabbia verso questo moderno mondo digitale dannatamente pratico. La granulosità della pellicola viene simulata con il "rumore" intrinseco che la V1 restituisce ad alti ISO. In questo caso il "difetto" (ri)diventa "opportunità". La sfocatura voluta -cercata ed ottenuta con il Nikon 50 AF-S f:1,8 (con adattatore FT1)- crea un senso di tridimensionalità in una immagine altrimenti piatta. Il lavoro in camera oscura (scelta di carta più o meno contrastata, esposizione e mascherature varie) viene sostituito con gli strumenti di sviluppo di Lightroom. Non vi sono interventi con Photoshop.
