The maf was very uncertain and maybe the wind did not help. Tips: -use a single af and af-continuous point by dropping it on the butterfly -raises the iso to increase the shooting margins and freeze the move (imho) Hello, Lauro La maf è risultata molto incerta e forse il vento non ha aiutato.

Hello Lauro and thanks for the advice. Mainly I always use the single point for the af, instead I'm not used to using the af-continuous and it's a function that I always forget to set. I took this picture while resting in a field after a trek. I could see these butterflies fluttering, since I had the 70-300 in my backpack I wanted to try. Next time, I will definitely consider your advice.

The continuous af, if you do not lose the subject, works like a body-gard that holds the connection with the subject this because the photographer while shooting may not notice to bascular with the body then to continuously move the point of af and the subject (here the flower) could sway due to the slight breeze (another cause of af not hooked) .... let's remember that there are some millimeters of pdc ;-) at stake L'af continuo, se non si perde il soggetto, funziona al pari di un body-gard che tiene il collegamento con il soggetto questo perchè il fotografo mentre scatta può non accorgersi di basculare con il corpo quindi di spostare di continuo il punto di af e il soggetto (qui il fiore) potrebbe ondeggiare causa la leggera brezza (altra causa di af non agganciato) .... ricordiamoci che in gioco ci sono alcuni di millimetri di pdc
