at 40mm, 13 sec f/18.0, ISO 100, tripod.

Iran/Nishapur/Seljuk dynasty/Reconstructed in the Pahlavi Dynasty. Iranian philosopher, astrologist, astronomer, mathematician, and quatrain poet, Khayyam lived a simple and full of knowledge life as well as isolation during his 70-year life. Since 1132 AD, when he passed away, until 1956, Khayyam's tomb was nothing but a ruin. Then, Hooshang Seyhoun, who was the supervisor of national monuments constructions with Hossein Jodat, transferred the place of the tomb, and this process continued till 1962. The triangular parts of around the tomb are associated with a tent (kheymeh in Persian) that implies Khayyam's name. The Mausoleum of Khayyam is one of the most important buildings of that period in terms of creativity, construction, and architecture. This monument was registered in the list of National Heritage in 1963.
