L'altopiano della Lessinia è mosso da ondulazioni - i "Cordoni" - che discendono da nord a sud sul versante veronese, mentre verso la val d'Adige discendono le "scortighere". All'alba e al tramonto le modulazioni della luce sui Cordoni sono straordinarie. La strada bianca che percorre l'altopiano, poco sotto il bordo superiore da est a ovest e che ha il suo fulcro nella Podestaria, fu realizzata nel 1915 dai soldati italiani. Carlo Stuparich, volontario nella Grande Guerra, nel settembre del '15 era a Bosco Chiesanuova, impegnato nella costruzione della strada, esperienza di cui scrive in alcune lettere al fratello Giani. #montagna
