Fotografare un acquario è un dramma ... bisgonerebbe cheidere al "fu" Takashi Amano (fotografo che approdò all'acquariofilia per curiosità di fotografarli e che diede poi nascita all'azienda tra le migliori al mondo Aquarium Design Amano "ADA" )

Ad ogni modo serve tanta tanta tanta tanta luce bianca sopra contrariamente alle lampade fitostimolante o led RGB che lasciano poi sempre delle dominanti .
Io coi flash non ce l'ho mai cavata perchè poi mi trovo luci differenti con colori differenti rispetto al sopra , però se si usano dei pannelli riflettenti all'esterno della vasca ci si semplifica un pò .

Se l'acquario è aperto è importantissimo mettere qualcosa di nero tra la fonte di luce ed il bordo della vasca .

Poi c'è il problema dei riflessi ... con un polarizzatore si diminuiscono ma come ben sapete togliamo altra luce a sta povera lente .

L'unico aiuto che puoi avere è usare un grandangolo con F più alto che puoi cosi hai una PDC maggiore a parità di diaframma (ad esempio rispetto ad un 100mm)

Non sarebbe male una lampada dietro l'acquario se trovi medesima temepratura luce di quella sopra.

Ps guardate qui ... pare che per loro sia una passeggiata fotografare acquari ma io penso stiano bluffando
