Un luogo di Roma famosissimo eppure decisamente meno fotografato rispetto ad altri. Noto ai più per le corse delle bighe, spesso sanguinarie e con esito letale per conduttori e cavalli, il Circo Massimo è nato come luogo elettivo per le attività commerciali della Roma più antica grazie alla sua ampia spianata e alla vicinanza a uno dei principali approdi del Tevere. La torre in primo piano, Torre della Moletta, non è di epoca romana bensì medioevale.
