Il Castello del Belvedere è una fortezza arroccata sulla cima di Palma di Maiorca, la capitale dell'isola di Maiorca. Il castello si trova a 112,6 metri sul livello del mare e a circa 3 km a ovest della città di Palma di Maiorca, ed è considerato un raro esempio di castello a pianta circolare in stile gotico catalano. Il portico del piano superiore è in stile gotico, mentre le arcate del piano terra sono in stile romanico. Il castello è costruito intorno ad un cortile, e i due piani che circondano il cortile sono arrotondati. Il primo piano era il piano nobile, dove risiedevano i sovrani, mentre il piano terra era per la servitù e per i soldati che vi bivaccavano. Il castello circondato da un ampio fossato di 4 metri, presenta tre contrafforti semicircolari ed è collegato, mediante un ponte, ad una torre indipendente dalla struttura centrale. Questa torre, denominata Torre del Homenaje, nelle intenzioni di chi la progettò, doveva rappresentare l'ultimo baluardo difensivo in caso di attacco nemico. Il castello è stato costruito come residenza estiva dei re di Maiorca, nel 1300 da Giacomo II su progetto dell'architetto Pere Salvà, ma in seguito venne adibito a prigione, e numerosi illustri personaggi vennero qui rinchiusi nel corso dei secoli. Dal 1936 il piano terra venne usato come museo di storia locale della città di Palma di Maiorca Dalla sommità del castello si può ammirare tutta la baia e la città di Palma di Maiorca, motivo che diede il nome al castello ed è sicuramente una tra le principali attrazioni e cose da vedere di Maiorca.
