Mi avevi suggerito la stessa cosa su uno scatto del medesimo periodo di questo (qui www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=3046902&l=it ). Scattare a tutta apertura o quasi credo sarebbe stata la scelta migliore, hai ragione. All'estremo opposto, f16 mi avrebbe costretto ad ISO più alti (che forse manco sarebbero stati un grande problema, in effetti), mentre lo stacking al momento risulta tra le cose che mi vedono incapace! E non avevo il treppiede (sosta spot in un'area di servizio sulla statale per fotografare Calascio da lontano e mi sono trovato questa scena davanti).
Scherzi a parte, suggerimenti per una buona scuola di focus stacking? Ho fatto delle prove ma non mi soddisfano, credo di perdere qualcosa di importante....

Ormai la scuola è sul web... Cercando trovi di tutto, basta saper selezionare bene!
Per il resto non c'è niente di difficile nel focus stacking; considera che per i paesaggi non è così "estremo" come per le macro... Parliamo di 5-6 scatti, non di 60-80!
La regola fondamentale è: usare il treppiede! Altrimenti gli scatti non saranno perfettamente allineati.
Seconda regola: settare la macchina in modalità manuale, per non variare i parametri tra uno scatto e l'altro.
Terza regola: tenere il diaframma chiuso per sfruttare il miglior punto di lavoro dell'obiettivo (in termini di nitidezza). Di solito va bene f/11 anche se io spesso uso f/16 perché non noto grandi differenze e ho più profondità di campo (= meno scatti da fondere).
Nel caso di questa foto avrei fatto almeno 4 scatti: uno per l'erba in primo piano, uno per l'albero, uno per la base delle montagne e uno per la vetta... In PS li sovrapponi e li fondi; io non uso quasi mai la funzione di fusione automatica di PS ma vado di layer mask e pennello morbido, scoprendo le aree a fuoco di ogni layer.
E' più facile da fare che da spiegare!
