I look at you.... What about you? sent on May 24, 2019 (21:25) by Curad. 17 comments, 2675 views.

Corrado

I'd say D3x as a body. On optics I have doubts between a couple of goals.
still a very good portrait

Thank you Maurizio, for now I do not answer on the camera body. The optics is an 85mm

I was undecided between 50 and 85 :-D

But saying yours is so hard? A technical opinion?

It's a beautiful picture. You really see a few like that!
In Particular I really like the composition and light, not counting the conversion, in my opinion "masterful".
is represented all the range of greys, as well as whites and blacks. However the contrast is great as well as the sharpness.
As you can see I write little, but this time I could not comment.
Congratulations!
Piero

Thanks for your nice comment Piero, is always very pleased.
@Gobbo, no no CMOS :-D
So Piero this 85mm pair and camera body
Do you look good?

Look, I'm not a fan of hyper-technicalities, extreme sharpness, etc. I think the photos are appreciated for other parameters, for me much more important (light, composition, balance, representation of tones, etc.), which make the final image more or Less appreciable in its complexity. Especially since today are excellent all machines and all lenses (or almost), but are not "great" all photographers.
to answer your question anyway, yes, the pairing seems to me pretty good from the technical point of view. Surely with other "coupled" you would have achieved greater sharpness, but, perhaps, at the expense of the gradual in the tonal passages and the overall yield.

Hello and thanks Piero, I'm also not a great amateur of hyper sharpness, because for the photos that I do is not that I need much.
Anyway has reason Maurizio, having possessed for a long time immediately identified the D3x, this may mean that the machine has defects perticular Talmenti, which is immediately recognized :-o :-D :-D
The optics is the very honest 85 G F1,8 to F6, 3
A flash with front bank high and a white panel reflecting almost on the ground to lighten the shadows.
Personally I'm happy with this accopiata, maybe with a D850 would be higher in tonal passages and in definition, however the square photos the mold Max to 50cm and I think the D3x is more than enough.

www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=2731360&l=it
Grazie ancora e spero a presto
C.
