La prima uscita dell'anno dei Mamuthones e Issohadores si svolge a Mamoiada nel mese di Gennaio.Il gruppo che si esibisce è generalmente composto da dodici a sedici Mamuthones che si muovono in due file parallele, uniti ad otto o dieci Issohadores, che li affiancano durante tutto il rituale della sfilata. A guidare il gruppo è un Issohadore che si differenzia dagli altri per l'avere in più una fune incrociata al petto con “sos sonajolos”.
