Il Parco Burcina è un giardino storico sito nel territorio dei comuni di Biella e di Pollone, sull'omonimo "Brik Burcina", una dolce collinetta a ridosso delle prealpi biellesi. Ha una superficie complessiva di 57 ettari e l'escursione altimetrica va da 570 a 830 m s.l.m. Le origini del parco risalgono alla metà del 1800 quando Giovanni Piacenza (1811-1883) iniziò ad acquistare vari terreni siti nelle parti inferiori dei versanti rivolti a sud e a ponente della collina per piantarli con sequoie (al lago), cedri dell'Atlante (a monte della sede), pini strobus e altro. Il figlio Felice (1843-1938) per quasi 50 anni lavorò giorno dopo giorno per acquisire nuovi terreni, per tracciare strade e sentieri, per impiantare alberi e la spettacolare valle dei rododendri che a metà giugno incanta il visitatore.
