La nitidezza è buona, ed in generale non mi posso lamentare, mantenendolo in bolla le linee non cadono esageratamente, diciamo che si comporta come un buon 18mm su FF. Attivando il focus peaking non ho avuto problemi di messa a fuoco, anche se alla fine l'ho posizionato a f8 e impostato la messa a fuoco in modo da avere una profondità di campo elevata e non ci ho pensato più. La costruzione è buona sotto tutti gli aspetti, non si ha l'idea di tenere in mano un obiettivo da 180E (ma si trova a meno). Il paraluce è fisso e ha anche la funzione di proteggere parzialmente la lente frontale, che è abbastanza sporgente. Molti lamentano la mancanza dello "scatto" nei diaframmi, è vero, se non stai attento mentre lavori potresti spostare la selezione, e complice il fatto che in macchina non hai segnalazioni difficilmente te ne accorgi. Basta prestare un pochino di attenzione.
Nel complesso è un giocattolino che vale molto di più di quanto costa.
