Spent a lot of time studying the Anna's hummingbirds in my backyard this summer. I experimented with a tripod and macro lens with a remote shutter to try to get some extreme closeups of them feeding. It was great fun - particurlay the times I didn't use the tripod and instead sat in the bush by their favorite flowers and feeder and had them come within inches of me...
