E' l'arte circense, e in particolare l'ultra-centenario Circo Barnum su cui è calato il sipario nel 2017, il tema a cui si ispira l'edizione 2019 del Magico di San Felice sul Panaro, andando a concludere così il ciclo dedicato alla memoria iniziato due anni fa con Novecento – il tramonto e delle aie e proseguito con Magico ruggente, sul mondo del cinema muto. Il regista dell'evento, Marco Rebecchi, ha voluto creare un omaggio al circo e al suo fondatore P.T. Barnum, per celebrarne la magia e la straordinaria capacità di affascinare che dai suoi albori ha colpito milioni di persone, regine e imperatori, borghesi e proletari, presidenti e contadini. Per le strade di San Felice, domenica 28 Aprile a partire dalle 15 sfileranno gli immancabili figuranti che andranno ad interpretare i personaggi più comuni del mondo circense come funamboli, acrobati, clown e giocolieri ma anche quegli elementi denominati “fenomeni da baraccone”: la donna cannone e la donna barbuta, gemelli siamesi e incantatrici di serpenti, fachiri e mangiatori di spade. Saranno messi in scena dei veri e propri spettacoli a cielo aperto, allo scopo di illudere e incantare ancora, come una volta, il pubblico presente.
