Il Ponte Pietra, posto in uno degli scorci più scenografici della città, è una delle principali testimonianze dell'antichità, costruito già agli inizi del I secolo a. C., probabilmente su un precedente passaggio ligneo già in uso prima dei Romani. Questo dimostrerebbe il fatto che il suo orientamento non sia in asse con il reticolo urbano romano.L'attuale costruzione è frutto di una risistemazione realizzata tra gli anni 1957 e 1959, assemblando i blocchi di pietra recuperati dal fondo del fiume. Nel 1945, infatti, i tedeschi in ritirata alla fine del secondo conflitto mondiale, avevano minato tutti i ponti sull'Adige
