Congratulations to the author and a question....
I have the D7500 and i look for a fixed lens for the portrait. I pointed the 60 mm xkè becomes a 90 and it stands me great as focal length. But... the same retailer nikon tells me to take the 50 mm af-s f1.8 (against his own interest) because it is softer x the portrait. But I want the 60!
What do you say?
the 60 becomes a 90 and costs 620 euros nital (and it is also useful x the macro)
the 50 becomes a 75 and costs 230 euros nital
what do I do ?

Hello Franz71, I personally use a lot of the 60 micro in the strokes lowering the clarity in post to make it a little softer, if you are oriented to portraits I would orient myself more towards a specific perspective for the portrait.
I must still admit that the 60 Micro is a bomb and is extremely versatile, I would recommend if you have the opportunity to try them both and evaluate before purchase.

Thank you Flavio x the answer and the advice on any retouching of clarity, but you the 60 use it on FF or APS-C ?
because I'm on aps-c and Saturday for example I was trying the 85 mm f1.8, but it zooms too much (it becomes a 130 mm) and for the portrait in theory we would need a smaller distance with the person photographed, so the right optics/focal for the portrait on aps-c for me is just a 60 mm, and at this point I also take into account the 60 mm f2 tamron built however purposely for aps-c - if anyone has news well come...-. I await more advice especially from those who have experience in the field, hello everyone
