Anelli di fumo, lo spettacolare fenomeno durante l'eruzione dell'Etna. Anche i vulcani come l'Etna generano gli anelli di fumo, qui in formazione. Conosciute anche come aureole di vapore, queste manifestazioni da sempre sono state avvistate sulla cima del vulcano, soprattutto nei momenti di massima attività. Si generano dalle esplosioni di vapore provenienti da piccole aperture sul vulcano; l'aria al centro degli anelli si muove ad una velocità notevolmente superiore facendo girare l'anello di fumo. Con il passare dei secondi, man mano che l'anello si allontana in altezza, se abbastanza resistente può staccarsi dallo sbuffo che l'ha generato librando nel cielo ad una velocità di un chilometro all'ora.
