La deliziosa chiesa di Sant'Agata sorge isolata a Corniano, il paese fantasma della Val di Gresta, abbandonato forse a seguito delle rappresaglie dei veneziani nel 1440 o per colpa della grande peste del 1630. La storia antica della chiesa romanica (recenti indagini parlano di epoca carolingia) è testimoniata dall'acquasantiera in pietra, conservata al Museo Diocesano di Trento come raro cimelio preromanico. L'edificio presenta una facciata a capanna, piccole finestre sopra il portale nell'abside e un massiccio campanile cuspidato in pietra. All'interno sono conservati degli affreschi che celano un ciclo quattrocentesco, sovrapposto a sua volta a decori duecenteschi. Sulla parete destra è raffigurata l'Ultima Cena, molto deteriorata e datata 1537, mentre sulla parete sinistra si trova una Madonna e santi. Una curiosità: sul libro tenuto da uno dei santi è scritto un passo del Vangelo in latino, non come si scrive bensì come si pronuncia. Probabilmente il testo fu dettato dal sacerdote a un pittore ignaro di quello che stava scrivendo! Sulla parete rocciosa che si eleva a poca distanza si trova una grotta in cui secondo la tradizione popolare venivano isolati gli ammalati di peste, rifocillati dai parenti tramite vettovaglie calate dall'alto.
