Nonostante sia il parco con il più alto tasso di crescita e ne siano stimate tra 80 e 90 esemplari, l' avvistamento della tigre a Kaziranga è ancora un evento raro.
Si va a Kaziranga per vedere i rinoceronti e l' aviofauna ed è meglio non pensare alla tigre... fino all' anno scorso si andava anche per veddere i gibboni di Hoolock ma poi un turista olandese si è avvicinato troppo ad un elefante che poi l' ha ucciso e dal quel momento sono si può più andare in quel settore del parco.
Il parco è suddiviso in settori e mentre eravamo in quello occidentale ( il migliore per i rinoceronti ) alcune jeep hanno visto la tigre in quello centrale dove siamo andati nel giorno successivo..
Inoltre, nonstante non piovesse da diverse settimane, ques'anno è piovuto parecchio e l' acqua ci ha messo tantissimo a ritirarsi dalle zone allagate e per questa ragione erano agibili sono pochissimi km di piste....
Però al di là di queste considerazioni, rimane l' eccezionalità di un parco dove in un giorno si possono vedere decine di rinoceronti indiani in un ambiente molto interessante.

wow Memy,che bell'esempalre...e l'ambientazione è davvero magnifica,dev'essere veramente un bel parco...però,sappi che io aspetto di tornarci per le tigri ;)

Kaziranga è da molti considerato il parco più bello dell' India med in effetti al mattino presto l' atmosfera in alcuni momenti dell' anno è davvero magica ed il numero dei rinoceronti è sbalorditivo però per la tigre è ancora presto e punteremo altrove.....

A dire il vero Karizanga è il miglior posto al mondo per vedere il rionoceronte indiamo ed avvicinarlo, soprattutto a dorse d'elefante, non è difficile...
