Quando la costruzione del duomo terminò l'Opera fu impegnata ad apportare modifiche e migliorie (che continuano tuttora) e mano a mano le statue, gli ornamenti e tutto ciò che veniva sostituito venne raccolto all'interno del fabbricato, tanto che già nel 1891 una parte degli spazi interni venne aperta al pubblico come museo della Fabbrica. |
