Crimea, Shcholkine. The photo made by me in 2009 from the highest floor of -the never finished -Nuclear Power Plant sarcophagus; we see here the vessel for the radioactive waste, never used. Acc. to Wikipedia The Crimean Nuclear Power Station is an abandoned and unfinished nuclear power plant near the cape of Kazantyp on banks of Aqtas Lake in Crimea (Ukraine/Russia). History: Construction work on the plant started in 1976, and the nearby town of Shcholkine was constructed in 1978 to house workers working on the project. The station was inspected following the Chernobyl disaster of 1986, and was found to be located on a geologically volatile site. Construction of the facility was summarily abandoned in 1989. .

Dear Friends,
note please: this could have been

the next Chernobyl case,

but, fortunately, the construction had been stopped.
This is not only a photo of nature, a human being is behind.
Look also at the white water: these lakes are salty.

Strong vivid colours are due to velvia and scanning.
One can say: chromatic aberration.

Great thanks for the comments !

Given what happened to Chernobyl, it is good that they have interrupted the work of this other central. Great shot and document your.
I see that you used an analog camera body: Do you still easily find the film? You develop the shots?
a dear greeting.
