Mi piace parecchio questo racconto fotografico, sintesi di molte cose. Riunisce svariati riferimenti culturali nordamericani che nel tempo hanno suggestionato molti di noi, dalla letteratura "on the road", alla cinematografia, alla musica. Molto verrebbe da dire ed approfondire sotto lo stimolo di questa felice immagine. Mi limito qui a segnalare un ritratto musicale che, a mio sentire, ben si può accostare a questa fotografia. E' una canzone -probabilmente poco conosciuta- che si ambienta in un periodo un pò precedente a quello hippie delineato nel titolo, ma di cui crea taluni presupposti storici e culturali. Mi permetto di sottoporre il brano (il cui testo, ovviamente, è fondamentale) all'autore della foto per ringraziarlo della bella suggestione che mi ha dato.
