Col senno di poi, sarebbe stato meglio chiudere un pò il diaframma e contenere lo sfocato per lo sfondo... però a me piace anche così!

In hindsight, it would have been better to close the aperture a bit and reduce the blur to the background ... But I also like that!

A me piace così, è bello immaginare lo sfondo cercando i dettagli del dipinto...
La foto sarebbe stata ancor più bella se l'artista avesse avuto abiti più particolari e magari un bel cappello da pittore

Qualcuno che ne sa più di me direbbe che lo sfocato così accentuato obbliga a concentrare lo sguardo sulla tela, e così costringe a cambiare il punto di attenzione dallo sfondo alla tela più volte, come dice giustamente Snowlover, cosa che spesso rende più interessante una foto.
Snowlover, con il cappello e la casacca da pittore sarebbe stata perfetta, ma considera che è già tanto essere riuscito a "tagliare" dall'inquadratura la moglie del pittore, seduta accanto, che gli reggeva un panino con la frittata in un bel involtino di stagnola!
