La Austin Seven fu costruita in differenti versioni dal 1922 al 1939. Inizialmente era dotata di un motore a 4 cilindri in linea di 696 cm3 che sviluppava poco più di 7 cavalli ma poi, dal 1923, venne sostituito con un propulsore di 747 cm3 che sviluppava circa 10,5 cavalli. Anche il cambio... che inizialmente aveva 3 marce... dal 1932 venne dotato della 4° velocità. La versione Sports... che è quella visibile nella fotografia... fu prodotta dal 1924 ed era denominata Ulster. Aveva la carrozzeria in alluminio di tipo "barchetta" e non aveva le portiere.... per mantenere il peso il più basso possibile.
