Il Huascarán (quechua Waskaran) è la più alta montagna del Perù (6.768 m s.l.m.). Si trova nella provincia di Yungay del dipartimento di Ancash. Fa parte di un massiccio montuoso (Macizo de Huascarán) che occupa la parte centro-settentrionale della Cordillera Blanca. Si trova all'interno del Parco nazionale dello Huascarán dichiarato Patrimonio naturale dell'umanità dall'UNESCO per la sua eccezionale bellezza costituita dalla Cordigliera Blanca, laghi di origine glaciale dall'intenso colore turchese, e per la straordinaria ricchezza delle flora e fauna andina.
