la celebre zona della nebulosa Fiamma e nebulosa Testa di cavallo attorno alla grande stella Alnitak. In realtà in questa zona si possono osservare almeno 7 diverse nebulose principali di cui 4 nebulose a riflessione (azzurre), la già citata nebulosa Fiamma, la nebulosa oscura B33 che va a costituire la testa del cavallo e la nebulosa a emissione rossa posta dietro al cavallo classificata come IC 434. Scatto eseguito da casa con telescopio skywatcher 80ed e ccd sbig st-f 8300 monocromatica, composizione in LRGB per un totale di circa 5 ore. I singoli scatti hanno esposizione di 5 minuti.
