Il più piccolo dei 6 Tucani e sicuramente uno tra i più belli presenti in Costa Rica, popola la parte centro e centro sud stazionando tra gli 800 / 2700 mt. Mi ha fatto sudare per riuscire a immortalarlo come volevo, ma alla fine non ha resistito e si e' posato vicino a una pianta di Bougainvillea.
