Hello Mark,
The photo was taken outdoors or in place closed?
What kind of lighting do you use? (In this and other of your photos)

Thanks Marco:)
Te I asked you because for some time I always know this type of lighting in your photos and according to my humble opinion penalizes them exceedingly (in practice I do not like :-D)
I prefer in 90% of cases natural light but if I have to use artificial light use to give more prominence to particular wing textures and that in natural light always seem soft.
also do not know if it depends on the light that affects the subject but the details, even with the small photo (4, 9MPX), appear as painted and hyper contrastated, lack of volume.
According to me depends on the light.
finally to my opinion the background is too neutral and uniform, the subject seems glued to the same (180mm are too many in my opinion in this type of static photos, where we search/manage the ideal background)
