, Posa B f/2.8, ISO 1250, tripod.

The Seagull on the Dog Random is the combination of these two animals, since this fascinating nebula is called "Seagull" (IC2177) for its appearance and is located in the constellation of the Greater Dog, over 3000 light years. To get this nebula from the sky of the country where I live (with a fair amount of light pollution), I had to commit a lot of processing and squeeze the signal of the Canon 6d Baader and the 400mm f2.8 equipped with IDAS D1 filter. Thanks to the brightness of the optics, even the penalized color sensor of the SLR allowed to obtain a good result. For the more curious, it took 40 poses of 3 minutes (2 hours of integration) to 1250 ISO, Vixen GP mount and Synguider Skywatcher autoguider on 60/240 mini-refractor.

Truly a marvel, one of the many of the winter skies! I really like the colors, the detail and it is clear your great ability to shoot and post production, Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, congratulations. Just two curiosities: how Do you self-guide with the GP vixen who does not have the door and what software do you use for the average of the images and the rest of the post?
I ask you these questions because I also have a vixen GP DX and I would like to dedicate, besides the visual observation, of which I am passionate for many years, even the photographic recovery. Also, using Mac OS, I noticed that there are very few software for the media and other image processing operations.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hello and good view of the Christmas Cometina (46/P Wirtanen)... I still have not got to see it!

Hello and thanks for the appreciation! The Vixen GP I have equipped with a pushbutton panel that has the door st4, so it was enough to connect it to the standalone Autoguida. For processing I used DSS and Photoshop.
