San Nicola di Myra, che da secoli riposa nella basilica omonima, è uno dei santi maggiormente venerati fra i cristiani ortodossi, soprattutto tra gli appartenenti alla Chiesa ortodossa russa. La basilica rappresenta uno dei pochi luoghi frequentati contestualmente da fedeli appartenenti a diverse confessioni cristiane.

Elio :-P I shot with the camper this summer the Puglia from Margherita di Savoia to all the Salento coast to coast, were years that I wanted to do and it was beautiful, three spectacular weeks and Bari I loved ;-)
Peppe :-P You're absolutely right it was a good experience, we arrived in the cathedral and there was little movement, taken the stairway to descend to the crypt you could hear the songs and there were so many people then I realized that it was a liturgy Religious but I did not expect it to be Orthodox.

Thanks a lot Stefano, I took only two photos of this ceremony from the stairs, I did not have the courage to enter the crypt and take pictures between them, I am stuck to the respect I have for any religion, however a passage from door to door I did it and it is St A really nice time.
