hand held.

Beautiful photo compliments as well as the story of friendship that is behind not despite both "only" a pike!!! As a fisherman I think it is one of the most beautiful and elegant fish of our rivers, not a noble predator! Pity that in the past here from us this species has had the rh of "health" with the consequent placing in the waters of torpedoes (believing Fossereo the best solution to fill the morie of pike but credu you know this story better than me!) that have only destroyed our ecosystems. However honor for this king of the river that for now I limit myself to fish :-D! Obviously I always release the various specimens treating them with the utmost care every time I catch one since the respect for the fish is the first thing!!!
to the next!!! James!!!

I think that our ecosystems were mainly destroyed by ourselves, pollution in the first place. The torpedo was introduced by man and if it is now part of our fish fauna it is not his fault. Now most of the fish present in our inland waters are all alien species, Breme, carp, European barbes, African catfish, ASPI etc... Unfortunately, man is the main cause of all these changes.

A wonderful capture, very suggestive even because of the light. Bravo and congratulations also for the caption

Agree with everyone. I also find important the documentation and knowledge of the ecosystem of our internal waters, close but perhaps a little ' ignored.

Thank you all for the ride. It is wrong to say that the torpedo has been introduced to compensate for the shortage of pike, the torpedo is here for the negligence of those who carried out the repopulation and for those who had fun taking it under the House, to be able to fish comfortably. Fortunately, as for the Ticino, the Pike is not in big trouble, though anyway they are almost all Lucius Esox or hybrids, Esox fluviae is very rare to see them.
