… ho trascorso quasi tutta la mia vita lavorativa “gironzolando” su e giu per la nostra bella penisola con alcune parentesi più o meno lunghe all'estero, questo mio “vagabondare” mi ha portato finanche nella bella Sicilia, dove ho trascorso alcuni anni. Correva l'anno 1986 quando … sposino novello, sono stato inviato in quel di Porto Empedocle e la mia giovane consorte ha deciso di seguirmi … “nella buona e nella cattiva sorte”, abbiamo trovato alloggio in quel di Capo Rossello, il Lido del Comune di Realmonte, una splendida baia adiacente alla “Scala dei Turchi” (all'epoca poco conosciuta) super gettonata nei mesi estivi, ma praticamente quasi disabitata nel restante periodo dell'anno, tra i pochi abitanti vi erano anche i proprietari dell'alloggio in locazione e stavano proprio lì a fianco, ed è in quell'occasione che abbiamo avuto modo di conoscere la grande ospitalità di quel popolo, non passava sera che non fossimo invitati a cena da loro e da subito, siamo stati trattati come se facessimo parte della famiglia. Ps: complice forse anche la giovane età ci sentivamo un po a disagio ed ogni sera facevamo sempre maggior attenzione per non far sentire il rumore dell'auto o della porta di casa, ma sembrava che avessero il radar e ci aspettavano “al varco”!! .. a distanza di anni ricordiamo ancora simpaticamente quei momenti. Ma come non parlare delle meraviglie sparse un po ovunque, meraviglie che a mio avviso dovrebbero essere molto più pubblicizzate, e sto parlando di siti che tutti ci invidiano, quali ad esempio .. la Valle dei Templi di Agrigento, i Templi di Selinunte, il Tempio ed il Teatro di Segesta, i mosaici di Piazza Armerina, il Teatro Romano di Taormina, per non parlare di natura, arte, riserve naturali, spiagge ecc.
