La vecchia giovane Rollei aveva atteso per dieci lustri in un armadio. Il padre della mia amica, morto alcuni anni prima che questa strana storia avesse inizio, l'aveva ricevuta in dono per il Natale del '61 dalla contessa Zeppi del piano di sopra. La contessa Zeppi che lui, cardiologo di fama, visitava quotidianamente da quando, per motivi di salute, non si muoveva più dal letto. Caricata con il suo primo rullino formato 120 in bianco nero aveva scattato nel 1962 le sue prime 9 pose delle 12 disponibili. L'occasione era stata il primo compleanno delle gemelle, poi una lunga inattività e l'oblio. Questo fino all'arrivo del nuovo amico nel 2013: cioè io, fotoamatore digitale, con la mia D60. La madre allora riesuma la vecchia Rollei e me la porge. E' immacolata, nemmeno un segno, anche la custodia in cuoio con il suo sottile cinturino che nemmeno reca l'impronta della fibbia. Scatto le ultime 3 pose, tolgo il rullino e la ricarico con uno nuovo dopo avere consultato le istruzioni su internet per come farlo: un'operazione cui ormai sempre meno persone ricorrono nell'era dei numeri. Con la Rollei provo un altro modo di fotografare ma, tutto considerato, inquadrare nel vetro smerigliato ricorda un po' inquadrare nello schermo orientabile della mia digitale. Certo scattare a mano libera con poca luce vedendo la realtà capovolta non è semplicissimo e, se la prima non è buona, lo schermo smerigliato non te la lascia rivedere: niente zoom a pixel reali, niente istogramma, niente automatismi e poi niente file raw da sistemare. Se hai sbagliato ed hai fortuna potrai tornare sul posto e riprovare, altrimenti addio.
Ma tutto questo il papà cardiologo non ha potuto vederlo e nemmeno le foto del primo compleanno. La torta con una candelina, le gemelle e la mamma: tutte mosse e sottoesposte, non esisteva l'Auto ISO allora.
