.......i've used a 100-400mm on many occasions........it's/they are sharp!........so don't be remotely "surprised" by this great result! ;-)

Christophe, I understand what you mean, there are some really bad reviews
for this lens, but thankfully I think I have one of the better ones. I also
use Juza's sharpening technique which helps too ;-)
