E' una torre cilindrica posta su una roccia a precipizio sul fiume Tanaro. Probabilmente risale al X secolo quando i Saraceni si stabilirono in Val Tanaro provenienti dal Frassineto (sui monti di Saint Tropez). La leggenda racconta di un signor Zitta che con coraggio, in una notte di tempesta, si introdusse nella torre uccidendo il guardiano. Al rientro dei barbari ad uno ad uno li gettò nel fiume sottostante, contando nel fatto che per accedere alla torre ci si doveva far aiutare da una persona all'interno.
