Two beautiful shots, where the model manages to put much of his, but a question and I hope you will forgive me, how come the fire does not fall on the face, I do not mean on the eyes? Either way there seems to be a bit of frontfocus. Unless it is wanted, cone could be in this case that I think more in focus the eye of the book.
Anyway I repeat that they are two wonderful shots.
Mat

Unfortunately I do not have Nikon so you are not much help, but I bet that reading the instructions well you find the catch, I think that doing so uses continuous fire, then when Recompose focuses on the object in the center, but surely I'm wrong.
However if you continue to have problems go in manual until you solve, the subject deserves a lot.

I think I have already understood and solved the catch.
I had set "AF activation" on shutter/AF-on so it is likely I was focusing with AF-on and after recompose click the shutter button in many photos I was focusing with the center point.
Now I have set "AF activation" only AF-on (which in Nikon would be AE/AL), then the shutter release now no more Focus Features but only shutter!!
In The week the tests of the front/back focus I will do equally to remove the doubt, and I'll definitely reconnect the model to redeem ;-)
