In un'altalena tra passato e presente, la partitura scritta ed eseguita dal vivo di Fresu e il testo di Leo Muscato e Laura Perini evocano fatti ed episodi disseminati lungo l'arco dell'esistenza del grande trombettista da quando bambino suo padre gli regalò la prima tromba, fino al momento prima di volare giù dalla finestra di un albergo di Amsterdam.
